Information about Euthanasia

Euthanasia, or so-called "mercy killing," is the deliberate taking of an innocent human life. It is usually perpetrated against terminally ill or severely disabled persons. In the United States, euthanasia (in this case, physician-assisted suicide) has been legalized in the state of Oregon.

Shelby County Right to Life supports the legal protection of the lives of elderly and disabled persons.

For more information about euthanasia, please click the links to the right, or visit the office to see the many prolife resources we have on hand.

Those with interest in the technical aspects of the euthanasia issue may participate in the annual Pro-Life Science and Technology Symposium, an event co-sponsored by SCRTL.
